first moved to Vineland said...
First
called Landisville by its founder Charles Landis, Vineland came to be
known by its present name in 1861. The center for scientific glassware
production, farming and manufacturing in Southern NJ, it is located 41
miles East of Philadelphia and 41 miles West of Atlantic City. (Please
note, that because of Vineland's sheer size, mileage to Philly and AC
can vary quite a bit!) According the the 2000 census, Vineland's
population was 56,271.
